Statutory rights depend on your state and the laws applicable to our business, including their thresholds and exemptions. This supplement does not assert that every state privacy statute applies to Vissabl or that all states provide identical rights. We also accept access, correction, deletion and portability requests regardless of location.
1. Rights that may apply
- Confirm processing and request access to personal information.
- Correct inaccurate information, request deletion or obtain a portable copy.
- Opt out of sale, cross-context advertising sharing, targeted advertising or profiling producing legal or similarly significant effects, where applicable.
- Limit certain uses of sensitive information or withdraw consent where the law provides.
- Use an authorized agent and appeal a denied request, subject to applicable requirements.
The Privacy Policy describes collected categories, sources, purposes, recipients and retention criteria, including location, household, messaging, school-interest and payment information.
2. Local advertising and opt-out signals
Our own local-advertising features sell placements, not personal-information lists, and do not send information to advertising networks for cross-context behavioral advertising. Our features do not make automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects. Local content selection and first-party measurement are explained in the Privacy Policy.
Recognized universal opt-out signals, including Global Privacy Control where required, concern sale, advertising sharing and targeted advertising; they do not request account deletion or stop necessary service processing. Legacy Do Not Track is distinct and does not have a separate application response.
3. How to make a request
Contact support@vissabl.com, describe your request and, if relevant, your state. No account or fee is required to submit a request.
For access, correction or deletion, we verify identity only as reasonably necessary and legally permitted. An authorized agent may provide appropriate proof of authority, and we may confirm with the person when allowed. Do not send government identification unless we explain why it is necessary. We do not impose identity checks on opt-outs where prohibited.
4. Response times and charges
We respond within applicable legal deadlines. The general target for access, correction, deletion and portability is 45 days from receipt; a shorter legal deadline controls. We explain any lawful extension before the original deadline. Opt-outs and consent withdrawals have their applicable, often shorter, deadlines.
Requests are normally free. If the law permits an exception, we explain the basis before charging a fee or declining a request.
5. Denials and appeals
If we deny a request, we explain the reason and available appeal rights. Reply with Privacy appeal to request review. We answer within the applicable appeal deadline: no more than 60 days under Texas law when it applies, and sooner if another applicable law requires.
If an appeal is denied, we provide the relevant regulator's complaint method where required. You may also contact your state Attorney General or privacy regulator directly, without waiting for our process. Texas residents can use the Texas Attorney General's consumer complaint service linked below.
6. No unlawful discrimination
We do not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights. A request to remove information needed for a feature may affect whether we can continue to provide that feature; we explain relevant consequences and legal limits.
7. Retention and reviews
We may retain particular records where a legal exception permits or requires it, such as necessary tax/accounting records, minimal suppression records, privacy-request compliance records or an active legal hold. We do not claim that every billing record requires seven years of retention.
Closing a business account does not automatically erase reviews written by others. A review may contain personal information, and requests about it are assessed on their facts and under applicable law, not rejected under a blanket review exemption. We explain relevant limitations. Clearing browser storage or hiding a message is not deletion of every server or recipient copy.
